In the summer of 2024, ifm electronic, based in Essen, was looking for a scalable tool to manage its global SAP rollouts. The goal was to create a central project platform that would enable transparency, standardization, and reporting across national borders. The tools previously in use were too fragmented—there was a lack of overview and control.
Although Atlassian Cloud was in use at ifm, it had not been established for project management. Project processes were managed in a decentralized manner, progress reports were created manually, and there was no central control system. Initial attempts at consolidation had begun—but a comprehensive rollout model was lacking.
